OOC: Assumptions about Valkyrie's past

I am going to be assuming a few things for this timeline and I do mean to be vague in play, so that if canon contradicts this, I'm not screwed. I am also going to be assuming this character's name is Brunnhilde until canon specifically says otherwise. Valkyrie is a title, and I can see her using it to honor her fallen sisters, but she still needs a name.
1. Asgard has a colonial/conquesting past. Hela confirms this in the movie.
2. Brunnhilde was a valkyrie during this time. I am thinking it will be for the later campaigns, though I'm not sure why.
3. After defeating Jotunheim and adopting Loki, Odin has a change of heart about the conquering and pulls back. Hela doesn't like this and needs to be dealt with.
ETA: Now I am wondering if this happened before Thor's birth? And since Thor is the elder son, it'd have to have happen before Jotunheim. Maybe Frigga's second pregnancy is what prompts Odin to start thinking of peace.
4. Odin sends the Valkyrie to distract her so that he may cut her ties to Asgard and thus be able to trap her in the realm that will become Helheim (maybe Odin should've gone the Egyptian route and tried blood and beer first?). Brunnhilde gets shoved out of the last remaining world bridge just as the realm is being sealed by her fellow valkyrie that also saves her from Hela's blade.
5. Instead of landing in Asgard, Brunnhilde lands on Sakaar. She spends about a century surviving and waiting for Odin to send someone to rescue her. This never happens and adds to her despair at losing her sisters. Eventually, she volunteers to fight in the Contest of Champions, eventually winning a measure of freedom on the planet. She retires almost as soon as she wins, attempts to find work to keep earning money to live and eventually ends up a bounty hunter to bring in more gladiators.
I can't help wondering if Hela and the Valkyrie worked together as well.
I saw someone on Tumblr bring up a very valid point, that of Brunnhilde working as what amounts to a slaver. I feel like she's stuck in a bad spot and makes the best of it. She knows how cruel Sakaar is. I mean Thor had the choice of being food or a gladiator. And we also don't know if Brunnhilde took part in past uprisings against the Grandmaster. It is certainly possible, given how little Topaz seemed to trust her, and was hostile towards Brunnhilde.
I also wonder, given Brunnhilde's coming from Asgard's colonial time, if she saw slavery as part of society. The Norse kept slaves and it was an accepted part of their culture. One could earn their freedom, it was nothing like slavery in the US, but I don't know if the Aesir from myths kept slaves. Still, given Odin's wonderful choices as the Allfather, I could see him easily allowing slavery or at the least forced indenture of a conquered people.
Another meta detail I was thinking on was just what does god mean to an Asgardian? Like do they really care about worship? I think not and lean towards the idea that 'god' is more a title and measure of personal power; i.e. god of thunder means I am immensely powerful with a purview towards lightening and thunder.
Feel free to comment with thoughts. Be warned, there may be spoilers in the comments if they happen.
